has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I was immediately welcomed and accepted by my wonderful host family, new classmates, and teachers, making me feel at home in a foreign country. I was immediately struck by the natural beauty of the region. In comparison to my home in the New York Tri-state area, the Lake of Constance and surrounding mountains are truly spectacular, breathtaking, and unique. Throughout my 3 weeks, I noticed the remarkable bond between girls within the school. It was in the way they talked, celebrated birthdays, and included everyone that I was able to identify it as a bond I have only ever observed within schools of the Sacred Heart. One thing I have learned from my time, besides a couple useful German phrases, is that the goals and criteria definitely connect every Sacred Heart school. No matter the cultural differences, every student of the Sacred Heart radiates compassion and love through their actions. From my exchange I have definitely formed friendships for a lifetime and I hope to visit Bregenz soon!
